Laois Student Elected President Of National Students' Union

The Mountrath Community School student will hold the position for the next year.

A Laois student is heading up the Irish Second-Level Students' Union for the next year.

The ISSU is the umbrella group for secondary school students, working through the network of student councils across the country.

17 year old Reuban Murray from Mountrath Community School has been elected to the role of president.

He's eager to empower more students to use their voice and has a number of goals for his term in office:
