Willie Aird has been speaking at the latest meeting of the Oireachtas Committee on Agriculture.
Farmers in this country are "getting nothing" for the work they're doing.
That's according to Laois TD Willie Aird who is questioning how the Common Agriculture Policy will support young farmers.
The Fine Gael rep wants to know what CAP changes could strengthen rural community developments and keep sources viable in counties.
He says farmers simply want a fair price for their produce:
