Laois TD Questions New Social Welfare Bill

It allows a person's pension to extend in certain situations.

A Laois TD is questioning the eligibility criteria of a new social welfare bill.

The bill if passed, will allow for a person's pension to extend to their partner if they die.

The eligibility period is up to five years for couples with no children, and two years if there's children from that relationship.
