A Laois woman is pleading guilty to stealing thousands of euro.
41 year-old Jean Bergin with an address at Fossey Road, Timahoe, Portlaoise, is facing 84 charges, including counts of theft and attempted theft from St Paul’s Garda Medical Aid Society, according to the Irish Independent.
The alleged thefts took place between 2020 and 2024.
The amounts allegedly stolen on these individual occasions varied between 600 and 2,000 euro, with the total amount in the ten of thousands of euro,
Ms Bergin appeared at Blanchardstown District Court in Dublin entering a guilty plea.
She is remanded on bail to appear in the Circuit Court in November for sentencing.
