Former Midlands Correspondent for RTE, Ciaran Mullooly, wants to see people across the region applying for grants from a €17 million Just Transition tourism fund that will be available in the coming months.
There will be a 6 month window in the new year for applicants to enter their expressions of interest, with the full application process opening later in 2024.
Mr Mullooly says the midlands already has the raw materials, and track record to make the money work for them:
