Learner Drivers Becoming Frustrated With Testing Delays

That's according to one Laois driving instructor.

A midlands driving instructor says learner drivers are frustrated with the long delays for tests. 

Michael Hogan, from Hogan's School of Motoring in Portlaoise, is making the comments after the Oireachtas Transport Committee heard there are almost 100,000 people waiting for a test. 

The Road Safety Authority says an additional 40 driving testers will be appointed in June. 

Mr. Hogan says essential workers are waiting up to 12 weeks for their driving test:
