There are less than 40 properties available to rent in the midlands.
An analysis of Daft.ie has revealed the average price of the rental market in the region is €1,500.
Westmeath accounts for the largest number of rental properties in the midlands, at 23.
That's followed by seven in Laois, and six in Offaly.
There are far more options available for those looking to buy in the region, with just under 850 properties on Daft.ie.
347 of those are in Westmeath, followed by 261 in Laois, and 241 in Offaly.
