Local Authority Writes To Education Minister Raising Sign Language Issue

Local reps would like to see Irish Sign Language taught in all schools.

Westmeath County Council is writing to the education minister, requesting that Irish Sign Language be taught in all schools. 

Cllr Frankie Keena says the Norma Foley's short courses aren't enough when young people may be unable to communicate with society.
