The county is one of nine currently without emergency accommodation for domestic violence victims.
Progress is being made on developing a new refuge centre in the midlands.
The new facility for victims of domestic violence is set to be located in Portlaoise.
Laois was one of nine counties listed as a priority for service provision by Tusla in 2022, as it was one of the areas without emergency accommodation for victims.
The announcement comes following an investment of over €80,000 for Laois Domestic Abuse Service.
The money aims to provide the organisation with the necessary supports they need to continue and expand their frontline service.
