This awards the impact that Community Education has across Laois and Offaly.
Laois and Offaly Education and Training Board are runners - up in this years ETB Excellence Awards.
Their Charleville Castle Felting Project came second in the Award for Excellence in Respect in this years's ceremony in Croke Park.
It brought older women within the service together to learn the craft of felting and put together a project for the upcoming Bealtaine Festival next month.
Other agencies such as Offaly local development, Age Alliance Offaly and Offaly older persons network also contributed to the project.
