The future of out-of-hours services in the midlands has been up in the air since the end of last year.

The Health Minister says a long-term solution to out-of-hours GP services in the midlands is being looked at.

The future of the service has been up in the air since the MIDOC group ceased trading at the end of last year.

The HSE has put an interim plan in place and is running an out-of-hour system while a solution is figured out.

Minister for Health, Stephen Donnelly, says maintaining the service is critical:
