Art exhibitions, country music and a scenic bus tour of Laois are all on the agenda.
The Lovely Laois Homecoming Festival is taking place this weekend.
The 3 day festival aims to reconnect families and communities through tours, workshops and music.
Today will see an art exhibition in Mountmellick and 'The Spirit of Luke', a celebration of the life and music of Luke Kelly and the Dubliners in Abbeyleix.
Tomorrow, a bus tour will take festivalgoers to various landmarks and scenic spots across the county, followed by a writing workshop and open mic night.
In the evening a Gala Dinner will have performances from Midlands stars such as TR Dallas:
On Sunday a community mass will feature music by the Timahoe male choir, and to close the festival the grand finale country concert will have star studded performances from The Matrimony Band, Trudi Lalor and Olivia Douglas, who says she's looking forward to it:
