The man accused of the murder of mother of one Sharon Crean on Wednesday 14 December in Mountmellick appeared at Portlaoise District Court by video link from Cloverhill Prison this morning.
Prosecution Detective Garda Michael O’Donovan applied to amend the defendant’s address on the charge sheet to read No Fixed Abode.
Defence barrister Suzanne Dooner said there was no objection from her client 36-year-old Sean Egan to being remanded in custody until the next sitting of the case.
Judge Andrew Cody went on to remand him in custody until 19 January when the case will be heard at Cloverhill District Court.
