A man has appeared in court in relation to a serious assault in Offaly.
He was arrested in Edenderry last Thursday evening, following the incident on Francis Street at about 6.15.
Another man in his 30s sustained head injuries in the altercation and was taken to Tullamore Regional Hospital.
The man in custody - aged in his 20s - and was brought before a special sitting of Tullamore District Court on Saturday.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the incident or anyone with information to come forward.
