A man has admitted to sexually assaulting a girl several times over a nine year period.
The man isn't being named for legal reasons.
The accused who is in his 40s was before Mullingar District Court charged in connection to sexually assaulting a girl in the midlands.
He entered guilty pleas to the three offences at his address on unknown dates between October 2007 and March 2008; September 2010 and March 2011, and between March and September 2016.
The defence requested an adjournment of the case until July because the accused is attending counselling.
The judge said there was no objection to bail, and directed the preparation of a victim impact statement.
