Man Charged Regarding €2.1m Cannabis Seizure in Laois Reappears In Court Today

He was remanded in custody following his first appearance in Tullamore last week.

A man, charged in connection with the seizure of 2.1 million worth of drugs in Laois, is appearing in court this morning.

Ugnius Sakalis, of Monastery Gate Close, Clondalkin, Dublin 22, is accused of possession of drugs for sale or supply at Cappakeel, Emo, Portlaoise, on August 30th.

There was no application for bail was made when the 25 year old Lithuanian national appeared before Tullamore District Court last Wednesday.

He was remanded in custody and will appear before Cloverhill District Court today.
