29 year old Aaron Brady has been arrested in prison this morning over a campaign of witness intimidation during the Adrian Donohe murder trial.
He is currently serving a life sentence for the capital murder of Detective Garda Adrian Donohoe.
Mr Brady is being questioned at Portlaoise Garda station over allegations of witness intimidation, perverting the course of justice and the unlawful use of a mobile phone in prison.
Yesterday, a man in his 50s was arrested and released and a file is being prepared for the DPP.
It brings to 7 the number of people who have been arrested in connection with the investigation.
