A man has been taken to Mullingar Regional Hospital following an aggravated burglary in Longford.
The incident occurred at a business premises on Great Water Street at about 8.45 yesterday evening.
Three people entered the building and assaulted the man, aged in his 30s, before taking a number of personal items from the him and fleeing the scene.
Gardaí later intercepted the vehicle the suspected offenders were travelling in in Longford town shortly before 10pm.
Two men, aged in their 20s and 40s, and a woman in her 20s were arrested and are being held at Longford Garda Station.
The stolen property was also recovered from the vehicle.
Investigations are ongoing.
