Accessories and masks are proving popular this year among trick or treaters to add a personal twist to Halloween costumes.
Portlaoise's TheCostumeShop.ie has seen a surge in demand for them this year- with orders for fake skin, fake wounds and gel blood also going up.
Costumes of characters from the biggest TV shows and movies of the year are also selling well-such as Deadpool, Beetlejuice and Wednesday Addams.
