The proposed development is hoping to redefine the town centre.
A midlands town could soon see the addition of over 200 new homes as part of a massive new development
The Distillery Yard and DE Williams House project includes plans for 204 apartments and over 4,000sqm of retail space on lands between Patrick Street and Kilbride Street in Tullamore.
Cayenne Holdings will be seeking permission from Offaly County Council for the massive new development, which it says will be a redefinition of the town centre.
The project could span as high as 13-storeys, and includes a series of commercial properties, including cafés, restaurants and a childcare facility.
20 units have been earmarked for commercial purposes, with 11 of those intended for retail, while the remaining nine will be for hospitality.
The apartments will range from one to three bedrooms, with the residential area spanning over 13,000sqm.
The developer says the homes will fulfil the requirements of existing unmet needs of contemporary town centre lifestyles.
It also says it's hoped the project will provide a well-connected, permeable, and fully accessible urban setting in the town centre.
