It caused disruptions to customers in Westmeath.
Irish Water has completed repairs at Athlone water treatment plant.
The plant is operating as normal, however storage levels have depleted and will impact water supply to parts of Athlone.
A water tanker will be available for the next 24 hours at number of locations including Coosan Cemetery and Clonbrusk Primary Care centre.
Each tanker will be manned until approximately 9.30pm tonight
Areas that may still be affected:
Mount Temple, Annagh, Ballykeeran, Assumption Road, Tormey Villas, Old Coosan Road, Coolevin, The Two Mile, Whitebeam Avenue, Coosan Point Road, Hillquarter, Meehanquarter, Beechpark, Bloomfield Drive, Churchhills, Churchfields and surrounding areas.
A water tanker will be available until 9.30pm tonight in the following locations:
- Coosan Cemetery
- Coosan Church
- The Bounty
- In front of Clonbrusk Primary Care centre
- At the viewing point in Ballykeeran
- The Pyke Road in Mount Temple.
