She tragically lost her life in January 2022.
A mass and memorial walk to mark the third anniversary of the death of Ashling Murphy is taking place on Sunday.
The 23 year old school teacher was murdered while running on the banks of the Grand Canal in Tullamore in 2022.
She is being remembered, and celebrated, by her family and friends at a mass at 10am in St.Brigid’s Church, Mountbolus.
A commemorative walk follows the mass to Ashling’s Memorial Shrine on the Grand Canal, Tullamore, meeting at Digby Bridge Carpark, Capincurr at 3pm.
Anyone walking along the canal from the Tullamore side can meet at the memorial shrine at 3.15pm.
