He says the process is wasting taxpayer's money.

The tax relief scheme for people working remotely is "nonsense", according to a midlands accountant.

Anyone working from home as a result of covid restrictions is entitled to claim a tax credit to help with electricity and broadband costs.

However, your claim must be backed up with all of the relevant documentation.

John McCann from MCM Accounting in Tullamore believes it's a pointless exercies, considering a full-time remote worker will receive a maximum of €96 back from Revenue:
