Midlands Business Issues Warning As It Closes Doors After 17 Years

A midlands business is pleading with people to think locally when shopping, as it's forced to close one of its outlets.

Laois brand 'Fifty Seven Boutique' is shutting its doors in Portarlington after 17 years in business.

Co-owner Jenny Miller says the initial coivid lockdown was devastating for the company, but the news of further, localised restrictions at short notice on Friday evening is a hammer blow.

She's warning the vibrancy of midlands towns will be lost if we don't shop locally:
