The majority of delays will be felt tomorrow afternoon into the evening.
Midlands commuters are set to be hit by disruption to their travel plans this weekend.
Irish Rail is carrying out engineering works on Dublin to Galway and Westport routes which include stops in Portarlington, Tullamore, Clara, Athlone and Ballinasloe.
The majority of the disruption will be felt tomorrow.
The 5.10pm Heuston to Athlone is cancelled, as is the 6.30pm Heuston to Galway service.
Bus transfers will be in place along the route throughout the evening.
Customers on Sunday morning will be affected as well, with the 9.42am Athlone to Westport train delayed until 10.15am.
Passengers with mobility issues are asked to contact the service ahead of their journeys.
Irish Rail is apologising for the inconvenience the works may cause.
