All proceeds will be going towards Special Olympics Leinster.

A fundraiser in the midlands is taking the trope of 'cops in a donut shop' to a whole new level.

'Cops and Donuts' will see Gardaí from Abbeyleix and Portlaoise selling 2,000 of the sweet treats.

All proceeds will go towards Special Olympics Leinster.

Gardaí won't have to put their baking skills to the test however, with the goods being delivered by Kelly's Family Bakery.

Anyone craving something iced, glazed or with sugar on top, should head to Laois Shopping Centre on Sunday the 26th from 10am.
