People living close to windfarms shouldn't be taxed on the 'near-neighbour' scheme.
That's the claim being made by Offaly Councillor Liam Quinn, who is calling for the fund to be reviewed.
Under the scheme, those living in a 1000m proximity of a windfarm are entitled to a payment of €1000 euro, which is subject to tax.
