Skillnet Ireland says they're developing talent that Irish businesses need through upskilling and reskilling.
Over 2,700 people and 900 businesses across the Midlands upskilled in 2024 to meet the demands of the digital and green transitions.
That's according to new figures from Skillnet Ireland that show just under 27,000 training days were delivered in Laois, Offaly and Westmeath last year.
53% of those who undertook training were men and 47% were women, while those aged 30 to 39 availed of upskilling supports more than any other age group.
Workers in the food & drink, services, and agriculture sectors led the uptake, with training tailored through over 50 Skillnet Business Networks.
Nationally, 24,000 companies invested in upskilling through Skillnet Ireland, contributing €28 million.
