Management is advising people only attend the ED if necessary.

The Regional Hospital Mullingar is advising that their Emergency Department is extremely busy with an increased of flu and respiratory illness.

They're advising that people only attend the ED if necessary and not to bring children if at all possible in order to limit the spread of infection.

However, if people who are seriously injured or ill the Emergency Department will assess and treat you as a priority.

Hospital management are apologising for the inconvenience caused.
