A midlands emergency department is extremely busy today.
The Midlands Regional Hospital Mullingar is advising people who are planning on attending the Adult ED that they should consider their options as those who are not triaged as seriously ill may experience long waiting lists.
However, patients who require urgent care will be prioritised.
They are also reminding the public that, patients who are over 16 years with the following injuries may wish to present to the Regional Hospital Mullingar Minor Injury Unit located at Charter Medical Private Hospital in Ballinderry, Mullingar:
o Suspected broken bones to arm (from collar bone to fingertip)
o Suspected broken bones in legs (from knees to toes)
