Midlands Farmers Could Get Extra €400 Per Hectare In New Grain Scheme

It's in response to the ongoing war in Ukraine.

Farmers will get €400 for every extra hectare of grain they grow this year. 

That's under a €12m scheme going to cabinet this morning, due to the Ukraine war. 

The Agriculture Minister says 30% of the grain that's exported around the world comes from Russia or Ukraine.
