Midlands Fire Services Deal With Second Serious Bog Fire

Another fire broke out last Friday.

Fire services in the midlands have dealt with the second serious bog fire in four days. 

Two Air Corps helicopters assisted machinery from Bord na Móna and local authorities in attending a blaze in the Garrymore bog in Laois. 

The incident is believed to have started around 5.30 yesterday evening, taking around two hours to come under control. 

It's not yet known how the fire began.
