A man in his 40s, who was seriously injured in the collision, has passed away.
A man, in his 40s, has died following a two car collision in Offaly.
He was seriously injured in the crash, which occurred on Valentine's Day, on R401 at Coolygagen at 8.05am.
He was a passenger in the car and was taken to the Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore for treatment but has since passed away.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.
A woman, who was driving a SUV, was also taken to hospital for treatment for serious, non-life-threatening, injuries.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the R401 in the Coolygagen area, between 8am and 9am on Wednesday 14th February 2024, are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
