Gardaí in Laois are appealing for witnesses after two homes in Emo were broken in to over the weekend.
The incidents took place between 10am and midday on Sunday.
A quantity of money was stolen from one home, while it appears there was nothing taken from the other.
Gardaí are asking anyone who may have seen anything suspicious around the area to contact Portlaoise Garda Station.
