A man in his 60s was discovered by Gardaí in a house in Westmeath.
Gardai are continuing their investigation this morning following the the discovery of a body in unexplained circumstances in County Westmeath.
The body of a man was found in the Milltownpass area on yesterday evening.
Shortly after 6pm, the body man in his 60s was discovered by Gardaí in a house at Rattin near Milltownpass.
He was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
The house has been sealed off for a technical examination.
The Office of the State Pathologist and Garda Technical Bureau have were requested by the Gardai to assist in the investigation.
The local Coroner was also notified.
Its expected the outcome of a post-mortem examination will determine the course of the investigation.
The post-mortem examination is expected to take place today.
