A midlands girl, who passed away after being hit by a car, will be laid to rest later today.
Three year old Rosie McDonagh was struck by a car on Cosby Avenue in the Fairgreen area of Portlaoise on Wednesday afternoon.
Her funeral mass will take place in SS Peter and Paul’s Church in Portlaoise at 12 noon today, with the burial afterwards in St Joseph's Cemetery in Mountmellick.
Gardaí are continuing to appeal for any witnesses to the incident to contact them at Portlaoise Garda Station.
