Midland’s Groups Scoop Three Wins At National Climate Ambassador Awards

Midlands climate champions won big at An Taisce’s National Climate Ambassador Awards, bringing home an impressive three trophies for Laois and Offaly. 

Sacred Heart School TY students from Tullamore were honoured for mobilising schools and community groups in wide-ranging climate actions, from e-waste drives to tree-planting. 

Offaly’s Michael Carroll was celebrated for his leadership in peatland restoration through the Tullamore Lions Club and the Clonbeale More Conservation Project. 

Laois duo Brian Meredith and Vito Romito earned national recognition for their hands-on biodiversity work, educational farm walks & talks, and the restoration of a local stream.
