House prices in the midlands continue to rise.
The latest property price index from the Central Statistics Office shows the region saw a 9.3% increase in twelve months to January 2025.
The most expensive county for prospective home buyers in the region remains Westmeath, which is now at €289,950- that's followed by Laois at €270,000 and in Offaly the price of a home is €255,000.
The highest median price paid for a home was over €660,000 in Dún Laoghaire - Rathdown, while the lowest was in County Leitrim at €180,000.
Nationally house prices rose by 8.5% while apartment prices increased by 5.8%.
