The 20-year-old Laois man passed away yesterday morning, following a collision in Thurles.
A midlands man who passed away in a car crash in Tipperary will be laid to rest this weekend.
Adam Kirwan, from Mountrath, died in the collision in College Green in Thurles yesterday morning, at around 3.15am.
He played hurling with Trumera GAA club, and previously with the Laois minor team.
A book of condolences has been opened at Mary Immaculate College in Thurles, and prayers of remembrance were held on the campus yesterday evening.
Adam's funeral mass will take place in St. Fintan's Church in Mountrath this Sunday at 2pm.
He will then be buried in St. Fintan's Cemetry.
