Filmmakers with connections to Laois, Offaly and Westmeath are among those nominated.
The Irish Film & Television Academy have revealed the 2025 IFTA Awards nominations.
A number of stars with midlands connections have been recognised such as Nicola Coughlan, nominated for her role in Bridgerton and Rivals actor Aidan Turner.
Offaly based production company 'Mixed bag media' has bagged a nomination for their film 'Wrecker' in the short film - live action category.
The film stars Sam Keeley and is directed by Martina McGlynn and produced by Garrett Daly all hailing from Offaly.
