Members of Lough Ree RNLI underwent a rescue mission during one of their training sessions.
A midlands lifeboat station was called into action to help assist a lake rescue last week.
Members of Lough Ree RNLI were undergoing a three hour training session at Coosan Point last Tuesday, when a man on board a 29 foot steel cruiser ran aground off Coosan Point at 7.40pm
No injuries were reported during the operation.
The training programme resumed yesterday afternoon, featuring a joint exercise with the Coast Guard helicopter Rescue 118.
