A man living in Offaly hasn't been able to return to living at home in Westmeath since he had a stroke almost two years ago.
Athlone's Joanne Greene says her partner Keith can no longer live in their home as it's unsuitable for his wheelchair, and he can only spend a few hours at a time there with her and their son.
She says she has recently been in newly built bungalows in Athlone that are not wheelchair friendly for Keith.
Ms. Greene says Keith feels like he's been missing out, even though she does all she can to keep him involved:
