A midlands man is taking to the director's chair for a popular crime drama.
Offaly's Declan Recks spent his summer in the Carribbean, where he directed the first two episodes of BBC's 'Death in Paradise', which is in its 12th season.
The Clara man was contacted by the show's producer while he was working on another project in Belfast.
Mr. Recks has been speaking to Will Faulkner on Midlands Today about surviving the heat, how it differs from shooting in the midlands and the phone call that landed him the role:
