Midlands Minister Urging People To Attend Walk-In Vaccination Centres

The head of the HSE Paul Reid says walk-in Covid vaccination centres will "play a key role this weekend".

It comes as 1,828 new cases of the virus have been recorded - the highest daily figure since January.

There are 198 people in hospital with the disease - an increase of nine overnight - 33 of these patients are being treated in ICU.
