48-year-old Lynn Egar will re-appear before the courts next month.
A woman charged with the murder of her two children in Westmeath has been remanded in custody again, while a book of evidence is prepared.
Lynn Egar, 48, from Winetown, Rathowen, County Westmeath, was due to appear before Judge Bernadette Owens by videolink in Mullingar District Court earlier this morning.
However, her defence told the court that the accused is currently in the Central Mental Hospital.
Ms Egar is charged with the murders of her five-year-old daughter Thelma Denanny, and two-year-old son Mikey Denanny, who suffered fatal injuries in a car fire in Multyfarnham on September 9, 2022.
Ms Egar was remanded in custody and will reappear before Mullingar District Court on February 10.
A book of evidence is expected to be ready on that date or soon after.
