The report highlights the lack of an Occupational Therapist.
A midlands psychiatric centre has been found to be non-compliant in two high-risk areas.
A report from the Mental Health Commission has highlighted individual care plans and staffing as areas of concern at Maryborough's Centre at St. Fintan's Hospital in Portlaoise.
The report states the individual care plans for residents in the centre were non-compliant because they were not developed by a multi-disciplinary team, due to the lack of an occupational therapist.
The vacancy in that role led to the staffing levels at the facility being flagged by the Commission, which says the numbers and skill mix of staff were not sufficient to meet resident needs.
It also states not all healthcare professionals were up-to-date with mandatory training.
The Occupational Therapist Manager has been asked to fill the vacancy, and the report states they are in the process of doing so.
The report did highlight the quality initiatives implemented at the centre, including the 'This Is Me' plan, which identifies residents likes and dislikes.
The facility was also found to be compliant in the 27 other areas inspected.
