Another man has been prosecuted separately in relation to the incident.
A Westmeath man has avoided jailtime after admitting guilt for his part a violent punch up on the streets of Dublin.
53 year old Adrian Power of no fixed address and Gracepark Road, Athlone, in Westmeath has been given a six month suspended sentence in Dublin District Court.
Mr Power pleaded guilty to affary - using or threatening to use violence with another.
The Irish Independent is reporting the incident began with two men who were begging at an ATM getting into a verbal dispute.
The court heard Mr Power intervened and punched one of them in the face.
The man then retaliated with punches of his own.
After the fight was broken up, it resumed a short time later with Power's partner becoming embroiled.
Power, who has 92 previous convictions, told the court he had lost four teeth and his partner’s jaw was broken.
He said he was ashamed of his involvement and regretted it.
