Midlands Senator Calls For Extension To Planning Permission Expiry Dates

It's due to the covid restrictions on construction at the moment.

The expiry date on all planning permissions should be extended, according to a midlands senator.

Fianna Fáil's Aidan Davitt is calling for a further two years to be added to the existing five, in light of the covid restricitons on construction.

He has spoken to the Housing Minister, who is seeking clarity from the Attorney General.

The Westmeath senator says it's a simple measure that could avoid a lot of needless delays in relodging planning applications:
