Temperatures could reach 16°C this weekend.

A spell of improved weather is on the way for the Midlands, though rain hasn’t disappeared just yet.

After months of wet conditions, Alan O'Reilly from Carlow Weather says a sunnier weekend is expected as high pressure builds from tomorrow.

The weekend will bring brighter conditions overall, with showers easing by Saturday evening and clearer skies overnight.
