A midlands student who was killed in a hit-and-run is being remembered in an unconventional Christmas song.
Mountrath's Joe Drennan passed away following the incident in Castletroy in Limerick in October.
He was the Editor-in-Chief of Limerick Voice, and for working with the charity Gay Community News, which the proceeds from the single will be donated to.
Joe's friend and classmate, Molly Cantwell, has covered Joni Mitchell's 'River,' with folk singer Emma Langford, with the proceeds going towards G-N-C.
Ms. Cantwell says she wants people to associate a little bit of the festive season with Joe:
